Care Assistant

Location: Brighton & Hove, East Sussex

Salary: £13.40/£14.50 – £21 per hour

Hours: Variable; requires regular availability and a minimum of 20 hours per week

About the Role

Provide home care support to customers in what would normally be given by a family member. Duties include helping customers with daily tasks, bathing, dressing, medication prompts, shopping and meal preparation, respite services, and facilitating social and community activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with washing and dressing
• Shopping and meal preparation
• Prompting with medication
• Support with daily routines
• Respite services
• Socialising and leisure activities
• Help customers access the community
• Travel to the customer’s home as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

• Self-motivated, well-organised and reliable
• Caring and sensitive
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules
• Committed to maintaining high standards of care
• Good communication skills
• Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Right to work in the UK (eligible work status)
