About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at HMP Stocken.
Hours
37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday: core office hours.
Salary
Annual salary up to £33,510 per annum.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the service.
- Deliver structured intervention on a 1:1 and group basis to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, including people with anxiety and depression.
- Contribute to the positive and aspirational workings of the integrated mental health care team, ensuring that each and every patient is treated with care, respect and dignity.
- Complete physical health monitoring as required, including taking blood and completing physical observations – training can be provided.

Qualifications
- Experienced in healthcare settings, preferably mental health settings
- Previous training or willingness to complete training around physical health monitoring – including venepuncture, NEWS2 and ECGs
- Experience in the delivery of mental health interventions
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently
