Sterile Services Process Technician – Decontamination (Permanent Nights)

Tiverton Hospital Sterile Services Unit (EX16 6SR) | Permanent | Full Time

Salary: £25,038–£25,800 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, nights + 30% enhancement on hours after 7pm. Monday to Friday 18:00–02:00.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, prepare and sterilise medical instruments for Theatre Surgery
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order
• Check medical equipment for damage and report faults
• Collaborate with a friendly team
• Participate in training as required
• Be computer literate
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Take action to resolve problems and Escalate issues where necessary
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures
• Conduct manual handling duties up to 13kg
• Show strong attention to detail and a desire to deliver high quality service

Requirements

• Organised with good communication skills
• Prior training in sterile services desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
• Computer literate
• Ability to handle manual tasks up to 13kg
