Specialist Group are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operative to join our Glass & Metal Team. As one of the top bespoke commercial interior fit out companies our clients demand excellence in quality and on time delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision. This role is vital in ensuring the production of high-quality fabricated parts, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing processes. The ideal applicant will possess a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with sheet metal.
The Role
- Set up and operate press brake machinery from technical drawings.
- Produce accurate sheet metal components to a high standard.
- Inspect finished parts and carry out basic machine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and organised work area.
- Work with the team to meet production deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating press brake s and working with sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with grinding, welding or other CNC machinery would be an advantage.
