MIG Welder

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting. We are looking for MIG Welders for long‑term contract work for a client in Rotherham. This role may become permanent for the right candidates. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Rate of pay is £28.00 per hour for all hours.

Shift Availability

• Mornings – Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 2 pm
• Afternoon – Monday to Thursday, 2 pm to 10 pm
• Nights – Monday to Friday, 10 pm to 6 am
• Weekends – Friday to Sunday, 3 × 12 hour shifts, 6 am to 6 pm

About the Role

• Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, and aluminium.
• Weld various joint configurations in all positions.
• Ensure equipment parameters are set optimally to satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements.
• Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded and work to tolerances on fabrication drawings.
• Meet production schedules with the correct quality level and within the specified time scale.
• Carry out and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks, and record necessary safety checks.
• Ensure correct marking up of component parts.
• NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding is expected.
