LT Selection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of an established training provider for a Fire & Security Tutor.
Role Overview
The role is suitable for experienced Fire and Security engineers looking to move into a Tutor / Learner Skills Coach position. The successful candidate will use their industry knowledge to train apprentices and commercial learners, supporting the next generation of engineers and wider sector upskilling.
Location: Doncaster Training Centre
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £38,000 – £48,000
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality training to apprentices and commercial learners through classroom, practical and online delivery.
- Deliver regulated qualifications and technical training programmes aligned with industry standards.
- Provide guidance, feedback and support to help learners achieve their goals.
- Maintain compliance with Government funding rules, Ofsted expectations and awarding body requirements.
- Represent the organisation professionally when delivering commercial training to external clients and partners.
- Support learners and professionals to build successful careers in the fire and security sector.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Strong practical experience in fire and security installation, commissioning and maintenance.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on industry experience.
- Ability to demonstrate and teach core industry skills with confidence.
- Willingness to complete fully funded teaching qualifications.
- Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required.
- Industry qualifications such as FIA, FireQual or Milestone Advanced would be advantageous.
- Experience supervising or teaching apprentices would be advantageous.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
