Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Bassingbourn

Pay Rate: £16.25 – £17.33 per hour (DOE) or £21.68 – £23.12 per hour Umbrella

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy and growing team based in Bassingbourn on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and build of products and systems
• Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
• Fitting components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
• Supporting basic electrical wiring tasks where needed
• Conducting build checks to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in mechanical build/assembly
• Ideally some basic wiring knowledge (desirable but not essential)
• Good attention to detail and quality
