HGV Technician – Fabricator Welder
Description
Permanent, full-time position located at the Walsall area workshop. Monday to Friday, day shift, 45 hours per week.
The role involves fabricating and maintaining a varied fleet of commercial vehicles for a fleet management client.
Responsibilities
- Chassis repairs
- Vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Body building and body repairs
- Riveting, bolting, cutting, shaping, bending
- Fabricating predominantly from steel
- Correction of running defects
- Chassis and fabrication work
- TIG and MIG welding
- Hydraulic work
- MOT preparation
Qualifications
Ideally fully qualified City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in welding and/or fabrication. Experience within the automotive industry and time served are also considered.
