A well-established manufacturing and engineering business is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join its workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience operating conventional machine tools and producing precision components to engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating manual lathes and milling machines.
• Manufacturing components to specification from engineering drawings.
• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high‑quality standards.
• Inspecting finished parts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assisting with general workshop and machining activities as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, Lathe Turner, or Manual Miller.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.

Salary & Benefits

• £15.00 – £18.00 per hour (depending on experience).
• Full-time, permanent position.
• Stable and supportive working environment.
• Overtime available.
