Rate: £300 – £380 per day (Temporary Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Repairs Surveyor with a strong understanding of property maintenance and building pathology. The role involves carrying out property inspections, diagnosing defects, and overseeing responsive repairs across a social housing portfolio. You will be responsible for specifying works, managing contractors, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out property inspections to diagnose repair issues and defects.
• Specify and oversee responsive repair works from start to completion.
• Manage contractors and monitor performance and quality of works.
• Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, works, and progress updates.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety and housing standards.

Job Criteria

• Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, or local authorities.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and property defects.
• Experience managing responsive repairs and contractor performance.
• Ability to diagnose building issues and specify remedial works.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Contract Details

• 3‑6 month contract opportunity with potential extension.
• West London based role.
• Competitive day rate/salary available.
