Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing a well-established Engineering Solutions Specialist who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter on a full-time, permanent basis.
Our client delivers bespoke mechanical and electrical engineering services across multiple sectors, including water, utilities and infrastructure. They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment, making this opportunity ideal for an experienced Fitter seeking a stable, long-term position with excellent earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general mechanical duties across a variety of sites
- Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment including motors, gearboxes, bearings and steel supports
- Conduct fault finding and remedial work on mechanical systems
- Assist Electricians or Civil Engineers when required
- Work away from home on occasion (typically Monday–Friday) when projects require
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and site procedures
- Read and adhere to all RAMS and Safe Systems of Work
- Operate company vehicle responsibly and maintain professional standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients
Skills & Experience
- Time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship or Level 3 Mechanical Qualification
- Current Confined Space training certification
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Understanding of mechanical installation and maintenance practices
- First Aid trained
- IOSH or similar Health & Safety certification
- Experience within the Water or Utilities sector
