Heavy Plant Fitter (Demolition Machinery) (BBBH24811) Swindon, England

Salary: GBP 46,000 – 50,000 per annum + overtime + local patch + progression.

We are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic with a background in heavy machinery, particularly excavators ranging from 20 to 90 tonnes. The role involves repairing, maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and fabricating or modifying parts across both workshop and on‑site settings.

The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 4:30, with optional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of heavy machinery.
• Inspection and fault diagnostics of heavy machinery.
• Workshop and site‑based work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with heavy plant equipment.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Refresher training in welding and soldering provided; prior experience beneficial.
