NEW VACANCY JUST IN AT THE BEST CONNECTION! Our long‑standing client, a leading power management company that specialises in energy‑efficient products and services, is looking for a Manual Welder to join their team in Redditch.

Pay Rate: Starting rate of £17.46 per hour. Increasing to £19.40 once all initial training has been completed. Experienced candidates can start at £19.40 immediately.

Working Hours: 7:00am–3:45pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–12:00pm Friday.

Duties

• Manual and orbital TIG welding of rigid and flexible tube assemblies, brackets, and components for the Aerospace industry. Materials include but are not limited to stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, aluminium.
• Following data cards, process specifications, engineering drawings and standard work instructions.
• Ability to use, maintain, and programme orbital and TIG welding equipment and the use of measurement equipment such as shadowgraphs, borescopes, verniers and micrometre for inspection and fabrication purposes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in TIG welding in a similar role.
• Welding qualification.
• Knowledge of AS9100 / NADCAP.
• Ability to use, maintain, and programme orbital and TIG welding equipment and the use of measurement equipment such as shadowgraphs, borescopes, verniers and micrometre for inspection and fabrication purposes.
