Overview

The Panel Wirer position in Tamworth is a permanent full‑time role with a salary of £35,000 per annum.

Work schedule: Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:45, Friday 07:00–12:00. The role includes a paid morning break and an unpaid 30‑minute lunch break. Overtime may be available when business requires.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels following wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Mount components such as MCBs, PLCs, and other panelboard parts, ensuring proper fit and secure installation.
• Cut, crimp, and connect wires and terminals using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Read and follow detailed assembly work instructions provided on a tablet.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards, complying with company specifications and industry regulations.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a panel wirer or similar electrical assembly role.
• Strong understanding of panel boards, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in cutting, crimping, and installing electrical components.
• Self‑motivated and results‑driven with the ability to work independently.
• Good English reading skills and the ability to interpret detailed instructions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control procedures.
