Position Summary

As an integral part of the NPI team, you will perform electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies often without drawings to refer to. You will assemble electronic components, sub‑assemblies and chassis to meet production schedules and performance standards. Duties and tasks are standardized, though the day‑to‑day work may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Use operational method sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re‑assemble units.
  • Work on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature; the ability to recognize nonconformities is required.
  • Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  • Understand and follow all safety requirements.
  • Understand and follow ISO practices and procedures.
  • Maintain fixturing; perform calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
  • May assist with training other AE employees in established processes.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Consider the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.

Qualifications

  • Work under limited supervision.
  • Assist in training other employees in established processes.
  • Initiate and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
  • Be cross‑trained on multiple product platforms.
  • Initiate and contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput and cost.
  • Have a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Have basic computer skills such as Word, Outlook and ability to understand AE processes such as Zeus.
  • Have basic understanding of core SAP applications and ECO and DMR.
  • Have a minimum of 1‑year electro‑mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent).
