Instrument Pipefitter

Rate: basic – £23.45 p/h – radius and site bonus payable
Worley is currently recruiting for an Instrument Pipefitter for a fixed‑term contract with the potential to extend long term for the right candidate.
Key Aims and Objectives
You will be expected to understand and follow process instrumentation diagrams (PID’s), instrument layout diagrams, hook‑up diagrams and isometric drawings.
Install instrumentation, valving, pipe works and supports in accordance with manufacturers specifications and good industry practice.
Responsibilities
- Fractional and metric stainless steel, carbon steel and copper tube – cut, bend and thread as required.
- Compression fittings (single and twin ferrule).
- Pneumatic components, tubing and fittings.
- Hydraulic components, tubing and fittings.
- Installation, maintenance, modification and testing of the above components.
Role Requirements
- Prime responsibilities will include working safely in accordance with site and company rules at all times.
- Carry out all work in accordance with vocational training and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
- Report all near misses, dangerous occurrences, safety observations and inappropriate behaviour of others to line management.
- Read, understand and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the instrument piping work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack or job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings or sketches. Mark up completed SoW documentation to ‘As Built’ status.
- Undertake site‑based training to become a nominated person (NP) for permit acceptance.
- Assist with compiling Risk Assessments (RA) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
Qualifications – Internal
- Current CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Proof of apprenticeship (indentures etc).
- NVQ 3 or equivalent (SVQ/C&G L3/JIB).
- ECITB SBT or equivalent (TSBT01 & 02, Swagelok, Waverley Brownall).
