As our Electrical Improver, you will support the delivery of LED lighting replacement works throughout the hospital estate while assisting the engineering team in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant facilities. Working under the guidance of qualified electricians and site management, you will play an important role in delivering the lifecycle replacement programme, carrying out electrical installation activities to a high standard of safety, quality, and workmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your electrical knowledge and practical experience within a live healthcare environment while contributing to Bellrock’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

And as an Electrical Improver with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…
- Assist with LED lifecycle replacement works across the hospital estate under the direction of qualified electricians and site management.
- Carry out installation activities including containment, cable pulling, cable dressing, mounting lighting fixtures, and associated electrical works.
- Support electricians with the safe replacement of lighting and electrical equipment.
- Follow work schedules, drawings, and instructions to ensure works are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with Bellrock procedures, site rules, and safe systems of work.
- Comply with relevant health and safety requirements, including hospital‑specific procedures and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
- Identify and report hazards, defects, incidents, or compliance concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Complete job records, worksheets, and documentation accurately using company systems and mobile technology.
- Assist with the preparation, transportation, and management of materials, tools, and equipment required for programme delivery.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
- Support quality inspections, audits, and site compliance activities as required.
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and project teams to support successful programme delivery.
- Promote energy‑efficient practices and sustainable solutions wherever appropriate.
- Act professionally and respectfully when interacting with colleagues, patients, visitors, contractors, and client representatives.
What does it take?

- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- ECS Card.
- Previous experience supporting electrical installation works within commercial, healthcare, industrial, or similar environments.
- Basic understanding of BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations and electrical safe systems of work.
- Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a construction or maintenance environment.
- Ability to use digital technology, mobile devices, and electronic job management systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification.
- Experience undertaking LED lighting replacement projects.
- Previous experience working within healthcare, NHS, or critical environments.
- Working towards NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- Experience using mobile workforce management or CAFM systems.

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the site based in Tooting. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
