Roles & Responsibilities
- Full mechanical estimating responsibility from tender enquiry through to final submission.
- Reviewing and analysing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
- Carrying out detailed take‑offs for mechanical building services packages.
- Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages.
- Obtaining and evaluating competitive subcontractor quotations.
- Producing accurate Tender Cost Reports and pricing documentation.
- Conducting site surveys and attending tender meetings where required.
- Producing value‑engineering proposals and cost‑saving solutions.
- Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines.
- Supporting project and contract management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attending post‑tender and client meetings as required.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services Estimating.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems and installation processes.
- Experience pricing projects ranging from approximately £100K to £5M.
- Ability to work independently and manage full tender lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of estimating software packages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to commute to Croydon office regularly.
