The Role

  • Permanent
  • Full Time

Deritend, part of the Rubix Group, was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue‑chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers and best known brands in the world. We specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining induction, condition monitoring and fabrication services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassembly and accurate re‑assembly of industrial rotating equipment.
  • Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
  • Assessing need for spare parts.
  • Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
  • Work on site in addition to the workshop when required (site working experience is an advantage and suitable qualifications such as a CCNSG passport are preferable).
  • Work well with a team as well as independently.
  • Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options.
  • Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
  • Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, company policy and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
  • Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
  • Support other teams and functions as required by the business.
  • Undertake self‑development activities as required by the business.
  • Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the company.
  • Liaise with the coordinator to establish requirements.
  • Conform to health and safety procedures and policies.

Skills And Experience

  • Flexible and prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service‑oriented environment.
  • Participate in call‑out rota as required.
  • Experience working on site in addition to the workshop (site working experience is an advantage and suitable qualifications such as a CCNSG passport are preferable).
  • Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do.
  • Enjoy working with a team as well as independently.
