Press Brake Setter & Operator

Location: Wolverhampton

Hours: Monday to Friday – Day and evening shifts available.

Pay Rate: Starting from £14.00 per hour, with higher rates available depending on previous experience and skill level.

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established engineering client for an experienced Press Brake Setter & Operator to join their growing team.

This role involves setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high‑quality components in line with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Produce components to precise tolerances and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter and Operator within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
