LCV/LGV Mechanic & MOT Tester – Class 4/7

Kirklees Metropolitan Council is looking for a qualified LCV/LGV Mechanic and MOT tester for their Central Vehicle Maintenance Unit in Wakefield. The successful candidate will inspect, service, and repair various vehicles, ensuring compliance with DVSA standards.

Applicants should be time served Mechanics holding at least a City and Guilds, B Tech NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance, with a robust knowledge of light and large vehicle regulations. A MOT tester’s certificate is essential.

This role is classified as Safety Critical and includes drug and alcohol testing.
