Service Technician

Location: Hursley, Winchester (Remote initially, then primarily on-site)

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance & have 5 years UK residency

We’re recruiting Service Operations Technicians to join a major mission-critical technology programme. This is an excellent opportunity to support newly deployed services, investigate live incidents, develop operational procedures, and help shape the future support model of a critical national platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live production environments and respond to incidents and alerts.
• Diagnose issues across cloud, infrastructure and networking technologies.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge base articles.
• Support Incident, Change and Problem Management activities.
• Work with delivery teams to improve monitoring, automation and operational processes.

Key Skills

• AWS or similar cloud platform experience.
• Linux and Windows administration.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and VPN technologies.
• Experience with monitoring tools and ITIL processes.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash or PowerShell).
• CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code or VMware experience.
• ServiceNow knowledge.
