We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded precision engineering business based in Staffordshire, supplying bespoke fabrications and batch production components to some of the world’s most recognised companies across a range of demanding industries.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a skilled and established team, working on varied and technically interesting projects in a professional, well-equipped workshop environment.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract, with pay rate reflective of experience and skill level.

This is a hands‑on MIG welding and fabrication position covering both bespoke, one‑off projects and repeat batch production orders. The work is intricate and varied, requiring a high degree of skill, precision, and attention to detail throughout.

  • MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and fabricated assemblies to tight tolerances and high quality standards
  • Working from detailed engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications across a range of component types
  • Fabricating bespoke components and structures to customer requirements, including complex and technically demanding assemblies
  • Producing repeat batch orders to consistent quality and dimensional standards, working efficiently to meet production schedules
  • Fitting, tacking, and aligning components prior to full welding, ensuring accurate joint preparation and fit‑up throughout
  • Operating angle grinders, hand tools, and power tools for material preparation, weld dressing, and finishing
  • Conducting visual inspection of completed work, identifying and rectifying defects before sign‑off
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety requirements at all times

Requirements

  • Proven MIG welding experience in a precision engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing environment – essential
  • Confident ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
  • Experience across both bespoke and batch production work advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality, accurate work consistently
  • Able to work independently and manage workload to meet deadlines
