What You’ll Do

Working for a beat forester and works supervisor within a small beat team of forest craftspeople, you’ll be part of the team delivering practical forest management tasks and shaping the forest for future generations. The district is commercially focused with large thinning, felling and restocking programmes; the core work will enable the implementation of these programmes. Forest Craftspersons are expected to work in all weather with a standard 37‑hour week, usually 7:00‑15:00 (14:30 Fridays) with occasional overtime to meet operational requirements.

The post is based in the East England Forest District with a starting point based from Santon Downham, Brandon, Suffolk.
