Supplying to a broad portfolio of clients, the business has a strong order book and continued investment. They are looking to expand their workshop team with the addition of a Mechanical Assembly Fitter. This is a workshop only role, with no travel or working away.
Role Overview
This is a hands‑on position suited to someone with a strong mechanical background, ideally with experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or general engineering. You’ll be working in a supportive, skilled team assembling bespoke machinery using a range of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components and structures to engineering drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all assembled parts
- Support fabrication and build processes as required
- Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet required standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Apprentice‑trained or experienced in mechanical/fabrication assembly
- Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand/power tools and various measuring equipment
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude

- Monday – Thursday 7am-5pm & Friday 7am-12:30pm
- Weekly pay
- 24 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays when permanent
