Mechanical Craftsperson

Mechanical Craftsperson at South West Water – responsible for maintaining and repairing water treatment assets, pumping stations, and reservoirs to ensure safe, reliable service for communities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
• Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment
• Provide detailed specifications for replacement parts
• Assist operational teams with complex problem‑solving
• Ensure safety compliance using method statements and RAMS
• Participate in standby/call‑out rota

What We Are Looking For

• A completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline
• A full understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime
• Experience working with wastewater treatment processes is desirable
• Ability to fault‑find and repair large, complex mechanical equipment
