Responsibilities

As a Revenues and Benefits Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering essential services to our community. Initially, you will focus on the administration of Council Tax, with opportunities to develop your expertise in debt recovery and the assessment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction. Your duties include ensuring customer records are accurately maintained and processed in line with current legislation, providing a professional and supportive service, and achieving performance targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence in dealing with members of the public and businesses
  • Excellent organisational and numerical ability
  • Strong attention to detail and literacy skills
  • The ability to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines
