We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well‑motivated individual with a good administrative background to complement the team in BSPS.
Essential qualities expected are efficiency, being well organized, having good communication skills and attention to detail.
Good keyboard skills are desirable. In addition, you should be a reliable individual who is able to demonstrate good practical skills and work as part of a team.
The role also includes recording of GM’s annual leave, acting up as PA to one of the GMs and minuting the Operational and Clinical Histology and transformation SG’s.
You must be keen to embrace new ways of working and develop your knowledge and skills.
Support and encouragement will be given for career development.
You will be expected to work according to our working time compliant shift system and be able to travel across Trust sites and to external events or meetings.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a high quality, central administrative service to the operational management team, ensuring that the recruitment process runs effectively from advertisement to commencement of employment.
- Monitor the recruitment timescales for vacancies across the BSPS. Coordinate the vacancy approval process within BSPS.

Job responsibilities
- To be responsible for delivering a highly responsive information and advice service, responding to all formats of enquiries personally and in group sessions using many mediums, liaising with specialist functions as required.
- To monitor and track the recruitment and selection process across the network.
- To use a number of HR systems on a regular basis, including the Electronic Staff Record (ESR), TRAC recruitment system and NHS Jobs.
- To undertake a variety of administrative and support processes and project work, developing and maintaining written procedures and standards within BSPS.
- To minute take any meetings associated with the role.

- Ability to travel across Trust sites and to external events or meetings.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time with VDU and desk‑based work.
Qualifications
- A-levels or equivalent academic standard, or equivalent experience
Experience
- Experience of HR and/or recruitment processes and procedures
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Experience of dealing with large volumes of work with a degree of interruption
- Experience of working in a temporary staffing function
- Experience of using the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system
- Experience of using the NHS Jobs/TRAC systems
