What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of looked after children and care leavers, ensuring statutory visits, reviews, and care planning responsibilities are met in line with legislation
- Develop, implement and review care plans, pathway plans and permanency plans in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004
- Undertake assessments of need and risk, ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and appropriately addressed
- Work directly with children, young people, and families to promote stability, emotional wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Support care leavers in their transition to independence, including accommodation, education, employment, and life skills development
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of ongoing professional development
Registration and Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, the Leaving Care Act 2000, and relevant statutory guidance
- Strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks and corporate parenting responsibilities
