Job role

Under the direction of the School Business Manager, to assist in the provision of efficient and effective administrative support to the school, including:

  • Being the first point of contact for all callers and visitors to the school, offering professional guidance and assistance both personally and by telephone ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Maintaining pupil data on the Bromcom.
  • Co‑ordinating children to their classrooms.
  • Processing school dinner orders.
  • General office duties as required by the school.

Qualifications and attributes

We are looking to appoint an effective team player who:

  • Works well as part of a team.
  • Is able to communicate effectively with parents, visitors, young children and colleagues.
  • Is polite and calm in a crisis and has a sense of humour.

Work pattern: 37 hrs per week 8 am – 4 pm Monday – Thursday (8 am – 3:30 pm Friday) and 39 weeks term time.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre‑employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references. Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre‑employment check with effect 1 Sept 2022, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
