Job Overview

The Admin Assistant HR role in Alcester supports the full employee lifecycle as a temporary, full‑time position, paying £12.71 per hour. Working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00, the role includes maintaining accurate employee records, drafting contracts and offer letters, managing HR databases, onboarding, benefits administration, and ensuring GDPR compliance. Recruitment duties involve advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, screening applications, and conducting reference checks. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and other HR documentation.
    • Manage HR databases and filing systems.
    • Assist with employee onboarding and induction processes.
    • Support the administration of employee benefits and HR policies.
    • Ensure compliance with GDPR and company procedures.
  • Recruitment Support:
    • Assist with advertising vacancies on job boards and company platforms.
    • Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates.
    • Screen applications and organise recruitment documentation.
    • Conduct reference checks and support pre‑employment screening processes.
    • Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and HR metrics as required.
    • Schedule meetings and maintain HR calendars.
    • Support HR projects and departmental initiatives.
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within an office environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
