Trainee / Graduate Engineer (Northamptonshire) 2

Overview

Opportunity for civil engineering or mechanical degree qualified candidate to join the Northamptonshire-based design department of an international construction company with offices worldwide and many years established.

Responsibilities

• Use structural engineering understanding to develop scheme designs using bespoke construction/structural engineering equipment for temporary works design on large UK projects.
• Initially interpret engineering drawings from clients and propose build solutions using the company’s equipment.
• Draft construction drawings and liaise with the warehouse to ensure correct equipment is delivered to site.
• Support design, estimation, project management, and potentially site visits to see designs in practice.

Qualifications

• Related degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and reading engineering drawings.
• Understanding of statics and dynamics is desirable.
