Role Summary
Provide administrative support for families of children with additional needs, Children in Care and those with attendance concerns, ensuring all children can access a broad and balanced curriculum. Work closely with the Headteacher, SENDCo, staff, parents/carers and external agencies to coordinate medical needs, SEND paperwork, attendance and general communication.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date records of medical needs, allergies and SEND documentation.
- Support attendance monitoring and reporting.
- Take minutes and notes during meetings.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, pupils, parents and external agencies.
- Assist families and staff with admission and support paperwork.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure.
- Organise and prioritise tasks methodically, with attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Relevant administrative experience, including strong ICT skills.
- Experience in minute/ note taking.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- High standard of verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work professionally as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to school policies.
- Calm under pressure and capable of working in a busy environment.
- Desirable: basic knowledge and awareness of SEND, medical needs and school attendance.
Hours & Compensation
Monday to Friday, term time only – 13 hours per week.
Salary: Scale 3 FTE £25,989 – £26,403 (£13.47 – £13.69 per hour), paid over twelve months.
