An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team in Hammersmith & Fulham. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and requires working 35 hours per week. What you will do

  • Provide a service in line with statutory requirements and departmental priorities.
  • Engage in comprehensive training sessions to enhance service delivery and personal career development.
  • Participate regularly in supervision and team meetings to ensure cohesive team dynamics and quality service provision.
  • Take part in emergency duty rotas specific to the role, contributing to the safe and efficient running of the department.
  • Maintain accurate written records and adapt to new technologies where applicable.
  • Respond to public inquiries and coordinate with other agencies to prioritize service delivery.
  • Engage and liaise with external agencies such as the police and health authorities to ensure community safety and welfare.
  • Be proactive in implementing the Council’s equal opportunities policies within professional practice and service delivery.
  • Lead in individual client case planning, adhering to departmental priorities and guidelines.

Requirements of the Senior Social Worker

  • A degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified social worker.
