Lewisham Adults with Learning Disability and Autism Service is dedicated to delivering the best support to adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, through innovative approaches and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred social work support that empowers individuals and promotes independence.
• Lead comprehensive assessments, care planning and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.
• Collaborate closely with individuals, families, carers and multi‑agency professionals to deliver holistic support.
• Navigate and apply the Continuing Health Care framework, safeguarding protocols and Mental Capacity Act processes.
• Stay informed about local services and resources to secure best outcomes for those you support.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and completion of AYSE/ASYE programme.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care legal framework: Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding legislation.
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and a commitment to promoting their rights, choices and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication, assessment and crisis intervention skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Location

Catford, SE6, 15 minutes south of London Bridge. Hybrid working approach based on service requirements.
