About the Role

We are looking for social workers to join our Social Work Assessment Teams and Safe and Supported Teams. The teams work with children and families from referral through to single assessments, child in need plans, child protection inquiries and care reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete single assessments and support the development of child in need plans and child protection plans.
  • Provide support to children in care until the first care review.
  • Work collaboratively with families, other local agencies and wider professional networks (education, health, police, voluntary sector).
  • Attend and contribute to regular supervision, case conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Qualified social worker with statutory experience in child in need plans, child protection assessments and plans, and children in care.
  • Excellent written communication and IT skills.
  • Proficiency in the LCS electronic child record system (training will be provided).
