A permanent opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology team at the National Treatment Centre Highland, based on the Inverness Campus, for a motivated and enthusiastic Booking Officer to support the Ophthalmology Service.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments, ensuring clinics are utilised effectively and meet waiting time targets.
- Liaise directly with patients, handling enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner, maintaining a high standard of customer care.
- Work closely with Medical Secretaries, Ophthalmology Coordinators, Consultants, and the wider clinical team to provide comprehensive administrative support and contribute to the efficient running of the Ophthalmology Service.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records under pressure, prioritising a demanding workload.
- Use Trak Care or a similar patient management system (desirable).
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a booking or patient administration role.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, with strong attention to detail.
- Prioritise a demanding workload effectively.
