Social Worker Children

Social Worker role to join the Children Safeguarding Team in Devon. Locum position, 37 hours per week, hybrid (part office / part remote). Rate: Up to £40 per hour (dependent on experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, effective social work services to children, young people, and families in line with statutory requirements.
• Complete robust assessments and deliver focused interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
• Promote integrated working with multi‑agency partners in accordance with the priorities of the Safeguarding Children Partnership.
• Contribute to early intervention strategies that reduce the need for statutory involvement where appropriate.
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and intervention.
• Follow DfE Agency rules.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in working with children’s services.
• Current enhanced DBS Disclosure.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions.
• Commitment to the safe care and well‑being of vulnerable people.
