Job Overview

My client in Corby is seeking a full time Sage accounts payroll clerk to start as soon as possible. This is a full time permanent job working for a manufacturing company. As Payroll Clerk you will be working as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely payroll production in accordance with statutory regulations. You will also be responsible for accounts and use of aspects of accounts using SAGE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Senior Payroll Clerk in production of weekly payroll from start to finish including starters, leavers, statutory payments, allowances, deductions P45s and P46s.
  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets records.
  • Assist the Payroll Supervisor with supervisors’ payments.
  • Administer the Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay scheme accurately.
  • Ensure holiday and sickness is recorded and paid accurately.
  • Payment of pension contributions on time and accurately.
  • Provide advice and respond to enquiries in relation to pay, taxation and NI from employees.

Qualifications

  • Must have recent Sage Accounts Payroll experience.
  • A good level of knowledge on day to day payroll procedures.
  • Manual calculations.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • A strong communicator at all levels.
