Job Overview
My client in Corby is seeking a full time Sage accounts payroll clerk to start as soon as possible. This is a full time permanent job working for a manufacturing company. As Payroll Clerk you will be working as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely payroll production in accordance with statutory regulations. You will also be responsible for accounts and use of aspects of accounts using SAGE.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Senior Payroll Clerk in production of weekly payroll from start to finish including starters, leavers, statutory payments, allowances, deductions P45s and P46s.
- Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets records.
- Assist the Payroll Supervisor with supervisors’ payments.
- Administer the Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay scheme accurately.
- Ensure holiday and sickness is recorded and paid accurately.
- Payment of pension contributions on time and accurately.
- Provide advice and respond to enquiries in relation to pay, taxation and NI from employees.
Qualifications
- Must have recent Sage Accounts Payroll experience.
- A good level of knowledge on day to day payroll procedures.
- Manual calculations.
- IT literate.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- A strong communicator at all levels.
