Overview

We have launched Living Better Lives in Lancashire, our new strengths-based vision for Adult Social Care. In this role, Social Workers will support older people and adults with physical disabilities to achieve what matters most to them, enabling them to live independently in their own homes and communities.

What the role entails

As a Social Worker on the Older People & Physical Disabilities team you will:

  • Support adults to live well, safely and as independently as possible in their own homes and communities.
  • Apply strengths-based practice to understand each individual’s priorities and build tailored support plans.
  • Collaborate with partners, community organisations, carers and the people themselves to shape meaningful, personalised outcomes.
  • Work in the Morecambe area and actively promote our vision of inclusive, community-focused care.

Qualifications

  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE) or must apply to register.
  • Compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and DBS disclosure requirement.
  • Ability to provide and have insured a car usable for duties.
