Job Overview

Personal Assistants form the backbone of Enable, providing one-to-one support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and aspirations are met. You will work with a bespoke team to enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Support mobility and safe handling, including transfers and positioning.
• Provide positive behavioural support to promote independence and self-determination.
• Help develop and follow personal support plans, celebrating achievements.
• Build relationships and expand social networks for clients.
• Operate independently and as part of a team, shifting between roles as needed.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to meet individual needs.
• Commitment to client-centred care and celebrating success of individuals.
• Positive, flexible outlook with capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• No prior care experience required; values and transferable skills accepted.
