We are currently recruiting an experienced supervising Social Worker within the fostering service.
Please note applications will be considered from individuals with at least 2 years post qualifying experience.
About the Role
As a Fostering Social Worker, you will be responsible for a caseload of mainstream foster carers, this involves completing regular supervisory visits, identifying training needs, and completing annual reviews. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can work proactively with the allocated children’s social worker and partner agencies.
This is an opportunity to develop core child in need skills, working closely with foster families, looked after children, young people and their families and developing child-centred, co-produced plans which reflect aspirations and sustainability for families.
About the Candidate
The successful applicant will need to be a team player, demonstrate enthusiasm, an ability to work on their own initiative and to engage with approved foster carers, work within the wider fostering team to meet the needs of the fostering service.
In this role, you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities provided by a dedicated Practice Improvement Team both to support your work with children and families, but also to enable self-development and resilience building.
You will also be provided with the right tools and working infrastructure which will allow you to work flexibly around your own needs as well as the needs of children and families enabling you to maximise efficiency and meet tight deadlines without overburdening process and bureaucracy.
