Role

Bereavement Services Support Officer – support the Senior Bereavement Services Team Leader to provide frontline administrative support for bereavement services, including Worthing Crematorium, Adur & Worthing Cemeteries and closed churchyards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective frontline administrative support for bereavement services.
  • Assist with scheduling, documentation and customer care for bereavement stakeholders.
  • Work closely with team leader to ensure high standard of service.
  • Support client communications and problem solving.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for bereavement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in bereavement or related support welcomed.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving and adaptable approach to work.
  • High standard of customer care and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
