Job overview
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Administration service. This post will work within the Hyde locality providing full clerical support to Health Care Professional teams that are based at Union St Clinic, Hattersley Clinic and Selbourne House on a rota basis.
Working as part of a team, the post holder will act as the first point of contact for all community services, therefore the post holder must have the ability to deal with the general public and have a positive approach to customer care. Administration experience is essential as you will be expected to undertake a full range of clerical tasks.
The Community Administration service is contracted to work between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm, Monday to Saturday.

Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship this role is unfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting the minimum salary threshold of £25,000 per annum and/or the required skill level set by UK Visas and Immigration.

Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of clerical tasks to Healthcare Professionals.
- Use a variety of IT skills to be able to use spreadsheets, word processing, e-mails and basic keyboard skills.
- Use the patient administration system to book patient appointments.
- General office management skills such as filing/management of records and telephone duties.
- Provide administration support for services being provided off site.
- Work as part of a team and carry out tasks set by the Administrator/line manager.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Respond to daily queries from internal and external organisations; excellent communicators with good written skills. A good standard of typing and IT skills is necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- English and Maths, GCSE, CSE, level 1 or A – C or above.
- Typing/IT skills (Email, word processing and file management).
- Computer Literate.
- Knowledge or experience of Data Inputting.
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems (PAS) (EMIS).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
- Working experience of general office duties.
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Customer Service Skills.
- Excellent telephone manner – answering the phone.
- Previous experience of working with the general public.
- Previous experience of working with Health Professionals.
- Effective communication skills with a wide range of people.
- Flexibility to cope with changing needs of the job.
- Eager to learn new skills.
- High degree of interpersonal skills.
