Focus IT has a role with a well‑established support company.

The Role

Due to industry growth, we need a self‑driven and highly motivated person to build on their expertise in the support sector and complement the existing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualify and document problems raised by customers.
• Handle support of service requests across all technology including workstations, servers, printers, networks and vendor‑specific hardware and software.
• Provide remote and telephone support for client networks and applications.
• Provide technical desktop and project support to the team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience within the support sector.

Key Skills

• Active Directory Administration, new user setups (User Accounts, O365 Mailboxes)
• Networking knowledge covering ADSL broadband, local area networks, switches and VLANs
• Windows Server 08/10/12
• Backup technologies
• VMware vCenter
• Cisco switches and routers
• Experience with Active Directory
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new applications and technologies quickly.
• Install, configure, upgrade and relocate PC hardware, software and print devices.
• Problem solving with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, Office 2003‑2016.
• PC hardware troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Microsoft Office 365 experience an advantage.
• Basic administration of Exchange Server and mobile email technologies.

Qualifications such as MCSE, MCSA, MCITP or CCNA would be highly beneficial.

Location

The role is based in Leicester and is commutable from Rugby, Coventry, Loughborough, Corby, Nuneaton, Derby, Nottingham, Hinckley, Kettering, upon Trent, Market Harborough, Lutterworth and surrounding areas of Leicester.
