IT Technician Apprenticeship
Salary: £13,275.27
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time including INSET days
Term: Fixed term apprenticeship
The Governors of Chuckery Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic IT Technician Apprentice to support the delivery of high-quality IT service.
Key responsibilities
- Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computers, printers, and peripheral devices
- Assisting with network setup and connectivity support
- Supporting the installation and configuration of software and applications
- Maintaining IT records, logs, and documentation
- Assisting with user account management and permissions
- Promoting safe and secure use of IT systems
- Supporting staff and pupils with IT‑related queries
What you will develop
- Knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and networks
- Skills in troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation
- Understanding of cyber security and safe digital practices
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professional behaviours
We are looking for someone who
- Has a genuine interest in ICT and technology
- Is keen to learn and develop new skills
- Has good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
- Can communicate effectively with staff and pupils
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
- Has a basic understanding of IT systems (desirable)
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 or above
