Production Operator / Electronic Assembler

Brief Description

Working in our highly organised, state-of-the-art production facility, you will join a team focused on quality. Working individually or in a collaborative cell, you will build, test, and finish high-quality electronic assemblies.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Precision Assembly: Building small components using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools (screws and rivets).
  • Soldering & Wiring: Hand soldering components and crimping wire contacts.
  • Quality Control: Conducting close visual inspections using microscopes and magnifying devices.
  • Machine Operation: Monitoring robots and automated assembly or test equipment.
  • Finishing Processes: Handling potting, sealing, and encapsulating with resins, alongside plastic welding and product packing.

Location: Derby (DE21 4AP) – Based at our modern technology campusPosition: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 39 hours per weekShift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:55 – 16:25
  • Friday: 07:55 – 15:25

Pay:

  • Starting Pay: £12.23 per hour
  • Weekly Bonus: £35 – £50 per week (following initial training)
  • Overtime: Enhanced pay rates available for extra hours worked
