Purpose of the Job
To enter and analyse all aspects of student and performance data and reporting, ensuring compliance and communication to all associated parties including the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, and parents for the years specified by the Trust Data Manager. This role is based at Springwood but with the capacity to support other members of the Data Management team across the Trust when needed by the Trust Data Manager.
Responsibilities, but not limited to
- Train staff in using Bromcom.
- Produce score cards for any year group specified by Trust Data Manager.
- Produce student progress reports.
- Ensure entry of all student data to support target setting for all students, including specific interest groups and specifically pupil premium.
- Ensure that all students are entered on the school system and that their registration details are accurate and up‑to‑date.
- Advise the relevant personnel dealing with Children Missing in Education of all leavers and post details on S2S for collection by the destination school.
- Liaise with previous/destination schools regarding student files as required.
- Produce a timetable for all new students and ensure the new record and file are created promptly and kept up‑to‑date.
- Work closely with the Head’s PA regarding the Year 6 intake, including liaising with the County Admissions Team, feeder and non‑feeder primary schools; accurately record student details on the school system.
- Work closely with the Trust Data Manager and the Sixth Form Manager to admit the Year 12 intake and ensure that all student details are accurately added to the school system and that GCSE results are checked on results day before admission.
- Support and administer the school’s Management Information System and MyChildAtSchool App, including attending training, setting up usernames, passwords, user rights and providing relevant training to staff as required.
- Work with the Head of Year on the students’ options process and creation and maintenance of the school timetable.
- Work with Head of Departments to build subject trackers.
- Deal with queries or problems and contact the Bromcom support team or the West Norfolk Academies Trust Executive for advice, as necessary.
- Ensure access rights to Bromcom and all other packages are removed from staff as they leave and run half‑termly report of staff leavers to confirm.
- Support the year‑end process, census information and all other ad‑hoc reporting as required throughout the school year.
