Working Hours
The working hours for this post will be 18.75 hours per week, which will include a weekend rota commitment.
Overview
The role involves working with patients in a ward setting under supervision and guidance from a qualified Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own delegated clinical caseload.
- Support qualified professionals in completing mobility and transfers assessments.
- Carry out delegated tasks and support all aspects of discharge planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Band 3 Therapy Support Worker.
- Experience working within or alongside physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy.
- Experience working within an acute NHS therapy team is desirable.
Team & Opportunity
The post holder will work in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Team as part of a team of generic support workers who currently work between the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams. The Therapy Centre is committed to the SaTH’s overall vision to provide excellent care for the communities we serve.
