Shift Building Maintenance Assistant

Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a Shift Building Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a permanent full-time shift-based position working an average of 38.5 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, days and nights: 07:00 to 19:00 / 19:00 to 07:00. Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Operations Manager
• Undertake maintenance of the building, including PPM, reactive maintenance, and new installation tasks, as directed by the PPM schedule and management using appropriate trade skills
• Order materials and services as required using ordering system and updating records, certify satisfactory delivery / completion
• Oversee specialist contractors

Qualifications

• Experience in M&E building services is required
• Willingness to attain cross-skilling and undertake training
• General handyperson skills are essential
• Good IT skills
• Flexibility, good customer service and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures; formal training is an advantage
